Emotion Explorers Play Group & Concurrent Parent Group

- Starting February 2026!

Who:

My colleagues, Miranda Singer, MSW and masters-level intern, Sunee Claud, are leading a neurodiversity-affirming play group for 1st and 2nd graders. Concurrent to the play group and just around the corner, I will hold a parent group with masters-level intern, Alina Ludwick.

All neurotypes welcome!

What:

While your child learns social-emotional skills, practices simple problem-solving skills, and builds self-confidence, you will have your own space for support and guidance.

When:

An 8-week cycle beginning February 2026. Play group - Wednesdays 6:30pm-8pm. Parent group - Wednesday 6:45pm-7:45pm.

Where:

Play group location: 150 S Washington St, Suite 202, Falls Church, VA 22046

Parent group location: 520 N Washington St., Suite 100, Falls Church, VA 22046

Why:

Play is how children make sense of their world. It’s their natural language for exploring feelings, building confidence, practicing social skills, and developing problem-solving abilities. Parenting is easier when you have the right information and support. Our parent group offers a dedicated time to learn about child development, neurodiversity, emotional regulation, and relationship-based strategies.

Fee:

$75/session for the 90-minute play group and $75/session for the 60-minute parent group (1 or 2 parents can attend for the same fee).

Prior to the group, families will have a 75 minute intake session with Miranda Singer, MSW.
