About Laura
Hello and welcome!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I began my career in community mental health and disability services before transitioning into private practice in 2019 (aka “The Before Times”).
I opened Inclusive Pathways Therapy in 2025 out of a commitment to anti-ableist care that honors the full complexity of people’s identities and lived experiences. I wanted to create a space where clients feel genuinely understood and supported in exploring new ways of relating to themselves and others.
I believe self-knowledge is powerful, and that growth is an ongoing process rather than a fixed destination. I didn’t come to understand my own neurodivergence until adulthood, and that experience shapes the empathy I bring to clients navigating late diagnosis or self-identification.
Therapy hasn’t always felt safe or affirming for everyone. Many marginalized communities have experienced care that pathologized differences rather than understanding them. I approach this work from the belief that you are the expert on yourself, and my role is to help you deepen and trust that knowledge.
I love sitting with people and coming to know them as a whole person. The best therapy starts with a human-to-human relationship.
My office is designed with adjustable lighting, comfortable seating, fidgets, and weighted sensory items to help you feel grounded and present to do your work.
My office is located within the Falls Church Wellness Center, a collaborative community of mental health professionals. I offer both in-person and telehealth options Monday through Friday, so you can choose what works for you.
I am a lifelong learner and am committed to continued education, consultation, growth, and self-exploration. I engage in multiple clinical consultation groups each month to help me provide the highest level of care for my clients.
I often collaborate with my client’s parents, partners, schools, psychiatrists, current/past therapists, doctors, etc. We all exist within a system, and I know your struggles are not just about your “mental health.” It’s also about your system’s health!

Each person and each day is different. I start where you are in the moment. I support my clients to gradually let themselves be more authentic. Often this feels like being “messy” at first. I help clients to gradually build self-compassion by looking inward with curiosity and courage. As we better understand and love ourselves, we are more able to change and grow. I know many have tried the opposite (hating themselves into changing), and it hasn’t worked. Let’s try something new. I promise, I will not look away.
I’m interested in what you find most helpful in therapy and what you could happily do without (don’t be shy to name drop that one therapy style you can’t stand). Therapy should feel collaborative and personal to you. I welcome and value feedback from clients to better understand their experience in session with me.
