Inclusive Pathways Therapy

In-person & telehealth therapy

for teens & adults

Falls Church, VA

Hi, I’m Laura!

I’m the owner of Inclusive Pathways Therapy and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I am passionate about therapy that takes into account the whole person and their lived experience. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself or your teen, I understand how meaningful, and sometimes overwhelming, this step can feel. I work to take the pressure out of this process.

It is the relationship that heals.
— Irvin D. Yalom

I bring evidenced-based practices and a relational, accommodating approach. My clients come from all backgrounds and experiences. Most of my clients are neurodivergent (e.g. autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, PDA, dyslexic, etc.), many are LGBTQIA+, and many have experienced childhood trauma.

I am neurodivergent, and I approach my clients with a neurodivergent-affirming lens in all the work I do. This means I don’t view neurodiversity as pathological or something to be fixed. I believe humans are meant to exist in many, many ways. There is no one right way to do this life, and there is no one right way to do therapy.

My approach helps support healing from a body and feelings level, rather than cognitive or intellectually only. I integrate and adapt Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (“parts work”), Emotionally Focused Therapy (attachment-based therapy), mindfulness interventions, assertiveness skill building, and other approaches based on the individual needs and preferences of my client.

I help…

  • Autistic, ADHD, and PDA teens who HATE HATE school

  • Teens who excel academically but are stressed by the social parts of school and activities

  • Burned out young adults who are learning about their accommodation needs

  • Survivors of childhood or complex trauma (C-PSTD) who might have been diagnosed with everything under the sun by previous providers

  • Neurodivergent parents who are figuring out parenting their neurodivergent kid(s)

  • Queer and questioning folks who are scared of what transitioning really means, or just don’t know how to start

  • People for whom cognitive behavioral approaches haven’t helped

  • People who always wondered “am I autistic/ADHD?”
